John Bayston

Managing Director

John is the eldest son of the founder Mr Tom Bayston. He first joined TWB Finishing in 1971 and worked as Company Secretary setting up the company’s computer systems to manage stock, work in progress, accounting, pricing and costing systems.

In 1999 John became Chairman and Financial Director of TWB Finishing, working closely with his brother Robert, who was then Managing Director of TWB Finishing for many years. In 2005 John was appointed Managing Director after the unforseen passing of his brother.

Mike Ilot

Technical Manager

Mike joined TWB in 1966 almost straight from school, and today is one of the most respected plating practitioners in the UK. He has used his knowledge and experience gained as Production Manager and later as Technical Manager to design and build equipment that has enabled TWB to survive during very difficult trading periods. Equipment designed by Mike has been widely copied and is used throughout our industry.

Chris Brookes

Operations Director

Chris joined TWB in 2001 as Quality Manager and has been instrumental in TWB's accreditation from QS9000 to TS16949, achieving the ISO 14001 environmental standard and an IPPC licence. In recognition of his outstanding achievements and commitment since joining TWB, Chris was appointed Operations Director on January 1st 2007.

Ken Damsell

Sales Manager

Ken joined TWB in 1976 as Commercial Manager from the Dowty Group where he served an Engineering Apprenticeship and qualified as a Mechanical and Production Engineer. During his 30 years at TWB Ken has enjoyed a wide range of responsibilities but gets most satisfaction from forging successful relationships with many of TWB’s customers.

Jennie Turner

Quality Controller

Jennie first joined TWB in 1999 as a Jigger/Packer. After 6 months she progressed to work in customer services as an assistant to Mary Babbage. Two years later she was promoted to Assistant Administration Controller and more recently to her present position as an assistant to the Quality Manager, a job she feels suits her perfectly. The variation in the job allows close contact with both staff and customers - ideally suited to Jennie’s happy disposition.

Mary Babbage

Production Controller

Mary joined TWB in May 1996. She really enjoys her work and her role is a very important one, being the first point of customer contact.
Mary feels that honesty with a customer is vital - even if the news is not always what they want to hear she will always do her best for them and help in any way she can to achieve a customer request.

Debbie Fuller

Company Secretary

Debbie joined TWB in January 2001 as Accounts Assistant. By 2003 she had become Personal Assistant to the Finance Director and was promoted again in 2005 to her current position as Company Secretary and Personal Assistant to the Managing Director.
Debbie enjoys the challenge and responsibility of her job. Her role as part of the Management Team is to encourage financial support and stability.
